Pink Spikiness

An interesting pink flower I found in the garden today; must have been one of my end-of-the-season bargains that I don’t remember purchasing.  I like the contrast of such a spiky flower among “softer”, more round petal varieties.

  1. Hi Amanda, I don’t think you bought this one…it’s probably a gift from the birds 😉 Spotted knapweed does have a nice flower, tis true…it’s also very invasive. Same goes for mint, but that doesn’t stop me from growing it. Just a word of caution if you have other plants that are not such bold fellows you may have to pluck the knapweed out to keep a bit of distance/give space.
